Composing downtempo chill music is fun but also challenging sometimes. I mean, when I usually start an album - I am aiming to work on a chill concept, that drives the topic and in a way predestinates the songs as well. And yet.... chill music artists may know, usually the result is something totally different. This was my case with Orange chill album as well.
The original chill concept was based on Pokemon's Orange Islands, which was part of the main storyline in season 2 - Ash jumped on the back of a Lapras and chilled on the sea around exotic islands. I loved it. Also Leaf Green Nintendo Game Boy Advance game featured it with Sevii islands.
I imagined this album to be the perfect partner of Leaf Green and Moon albums, yet I ended up composing a more sad chill album, compare to the happy chill vibes of the previous two.
I also planned this chill music release to be an EP with 6 songs, whereas I ended up composing 10 chill songs, even adding a coproduction with my mate Viktor, whom with I can play along quite well in guitar chill genre and flute/wind chill songs - for more check Bebop II. and Zeitgeist Guitarist EPs.
I still do believe that this chill music if for studying or gaming, a kind of background music that helps you focus as most of the chill beats contains smooth bass lines as well as simple but rhythmic drumbeats. It is only more dark then my previous Latte Chill albums, therefore I believe it is the best to chill with these songs along with melancholy and sunset.
